Ken was the greatest cowman and cow caretaker I ever worked with from Tara-hills and Hanover Hill- all those great cows Ken was the one that looked after them 365 days and did that for many years, and got them all in calf year after year and did most of the vet work- An Ken was also a great farmer- Rest In Peace old friend----

The best best cow man that I ever met. He was the hardest worker who taught me so much about cows.

My condolences to the Trevena family. I remember working for Ken at Hanover Hill Farm for many years. He was a great guy to work for. It was actually exciting being there to see the world famous Holsteins he and Peter raised. Bless you all. Rick Larocque & family

My deepest sympathy to Ken's family on his passing. I met Ken 50 years ago when he and Pete Heffering moved to Canada and established Hanover Hill Holsteins at Port Perry. Ken was a remarkably, talented cowman and farm manager. There were none better. He and Peter made a lasting impact on the Holstein breed in Canada and around the world. What a great partnership they had. While I wrote many stories on Hanover Hill Holsteins' success over the years in the Holstein Journal, one of my favourites was the personal interview I did with Ken on his life and career after the farm's last dispersal. A visit with Ken was always special. He was a dear man who truly loved what he did every day of his life. We all will miss him.
