Bill and I are so sorry to hear about your Mom. I spent a lot of time with your Mom when you girls were younger with girl guides and at Prince Albert school. We will be thinking about you at this sad time. Mary and Bill Wonnacott

Our deepest condolences to Ron, Ruth, Michelle, Becky, Bob and their families.
Karen was more than a friend and neighbour, she was part of our family. It started over 40 years ago when Karen contacted us to see if we needed a babysitter. She was a lifesaver. She babysat Landon and Rose from infancy until they could look after themselves. They considered her as their second Mom.
We have so many fond memories with Karen. Our family trip to Moosonee (four adults and four children in a station wagon); going with her to her first Blue Jays game (playoff); so many neighbourhood parties (birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, New Years.) We met so many good people through Karen. She was our go-to person in the country/farming neighbourhood.
For Halloween, we would drive our kids to each farm in the neighbourhood. Karen would chat with each neighbour while the kids would impatiently wait.
Karen was also the first one in the neighbourhood to put up her Christmas decorations, inside and out. No one could beat her.
When our kids were little, we took them to Florida for Christmas. Karen made sure Santa delivered all of their new toys to our house for their return. They were so happy.
Karen was very kind and thoughtful. She would organize help for any neighbours struggling financially or ones who just needed support.
Karen has always been so proud of her three daughters and her grandchildren. Whenever she got the chance, she would talk about their accomplishments.
We will miss Karen and will always think of her fondly, especially on our shared birthdays. Thank you for the initial phone call that enabled us to have you in our lives.
Hugs to the entire family.

We bought our property from Ron and Karen almost 27 years ago. From the moment we met Ron and Karen, they made us feel like family. Karen babysat our children and they loved going to her house. Whenever we talked on the phone, she would talk about her children and grandchildren and was so proud of them. She was the most kind and generous person and would do anything for you. We will miss you Karen. Rest in peace! ❤️ Love Bill and Lois Kirkpatrick

Karen and Ron were our neighbours growing up and I was fortunate to be babysat by her as well for many years. It felt as if she was family for me growing up next door. She always had snacks and the biggest smile on her face when I came to visit. I have many memories with her. She truly was one of a kind! Sweet and spicy, with a heart of gold. Rest in peace Karen, you will be missed. I hope we can be neighbours again one day ❤️
