Obituary of Phyllis Frances Haines

September 3, 1933 – May 27, 2024

 

Peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2024 at her home at age 90 years. Phyllis (nee Tetlow), beloved wife of the late Adrian Haines. Devoted mother of Brian (Mary nee Paine), Nancy (Mark Larocque) and the late Leanne (1986). Cherished grandmother of Laura (Ryan Brunt), Amie (Scott Pynn), Kara (Denver Dewit) and Lindsay (Blake Pedersen). Loving great grandmother of Emma and Hailey. Dear sister of the late Joyce Heayn and Gordon Tetlow. Survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Special companion of Buddy. Following a 10 year career at Bell Canada in Toronto, she became a full time mother.  Retired as Office Manager of Haines Machine & Tool after 40 years.  Long time member of Tyrone UCW and enjoyed being active in the community. Special thanks to the nurses and staff with Partners In Community Care. 

 

The family of Phyllis Haines will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, “McDermott-Panabaker Chapel” 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, May 31st from 2 – 5 pm. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, June 1st at 11 am. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert.
