Obituary of Susan Ruth Nixon
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Susan Ruth Nixon announce her passing at Westshore Village, Port Perry on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. She was born on March 22, 1931 in Toronto to John and Ruth Oliver. Beloved wife of the late John Henry “Harry” Nixon. Loving mother of Virginia, John (Heather), Peter (Lisa) and Patrick. Dear grandmother of Jacqueline (Derek), Kevin, Jessica, Matthew, Laura, Sophie and Isla. Cherished great grandmother of Lauren and Claire. Predeceased by her sister Patricia Phin and her niece Heather Roberts. The family wish to thank Dr. Kim Ferguson and the staff at Westshore Village for their wonderful care of Susan.
The family of Susan Nixon will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Saturday, October 19th from 1 – 1:30 p.m. A Service to celebrate Susan’s life will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will be at Pinedale Cemetery, Sunderland. If desired, donations may be made in Susan’s name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society.
