Obituary of Daphen Stainton
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Daphen (Daphne) Ann Stainton, cherished mother, grandmother, and wife, on September 4, 2024, at Port Perry Hospital, at the age of 73. Born on December 28, 1950, in Bathurst, New Brunswick, she later made her home in Port Perry, where she raised her family with love and devotion. Daphen is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Wayne Stainton, her loving daughter Vicki Hoselton, and son-in-law Graham Hoselton, along with her two adoring granddaughters, Teghan and Tessa Hoselton. She now joins her son, Ross Stainton, in heaven, where they are reunited. Her life was a testament to the love and strength she gave to those around her, not only as a devoted mother and grandmother but also as a compassionate Personal Support Worker, dedicating her career to caring for others. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the loving, caring staff at the Venvi Port Perry Villa for treating Daphen like “family” supporting her over the last year. May she rest peacefully, embraced by the love she gave so freely.
