Obituary of Jim Burnett
Peacefully, on Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Oak Ridges Hospice, in Port Perry, at age 81. Jim Burnett of Port Perry, beloved husband of Mary Lou (nee Robertson). Loved father of George and his wife Laurie of Guelph, Robert (deceased 1991) and his wife Kim Dodge of Edmonton, and David and his wife Kristy of Port Perry. He will be remembered by his grandchildren Hanna (Ben), Dylan (Anna), Madison (Derek), and Sam (Julia). Dear brother of Georgeen and her husband the late Bruce Cochrane. He will be missed by his nephews Aaron, Jason, and Gavin.
The family of Jim Burnett will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Tuesday, September 10th from 6 – 8 p.m. A Service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held at the Port Perry United Church, 294 Queen Street in Port Perry on Wednesday, September 11th at 11 a.m. Private interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert.
