Obituary of Joan Doreen Grove
Peacefully, with family by her side, on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry, at age 87. Joan Doreen (nee Gayman), beloved wife of 52 years to the late Glenn Grove of Blackstock. Joan is survived by her son Doug Grove and wife Lorrie, her son Jeff Grove, and her daughter Frances Grove Hurst and husband Ken. Loved grandmother of D.J. Grove and wife Randi, Katie Nicholls and husband Will, Kelsey Grove and fiancé Brennan McGuinness, Michaela Grove, Leah Sandy, and Laura Haley and her husband Matt. Cherished great grandma of Toby, Mila, Clara and Emma. Also, Rob Howard and his family. Dear sister to Marion wife of the late Carl Timbers, Helen wife of Roy Lewis, Lloyd Gayman and his wife Charlotte, Betty wife of Gary Jansen, Joyce (deceased) wife of Olaf Heilandt, Wayne Gayman and his wife Kate, and Donald Gayman and his wife Karen. Predeceased by her parents Clayton and Dorothy Gayman. She will be greatly missed by nephews, nieces and friends.
Interment to take place for Family Members at Devitt’s Cemetery, 12001 Cartwright East Quarter Line in Blackstock, on Saturday, November 30th at 11 a.m., followed by celebration of Joan’s life at 1 p.m. at the Blackstock Recreation Complex, 3340 Church Street in Blackstock. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Oak Ridges Hospice, Devitt’s Cemetery or the Canadian Cancer Society. Will be missed by all who knew her.
