HELEN MAY COCHRANE On Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at the Community Nursing Home in Port Perry, at age 87, after a long and courageous struggle with her debilitating disease. May (nee Adams) of Port Perry beloved wife of the late Ivan Cochrane. Loved mother of Don (Frieda) of Scugog Island, Doreen Catherwood of Uxbridge, Joyce Abraham of Prince Albert and Judy Cochrane (Rick) of Oshawa. Loving grandmother of 11, great grandmother of 18 great grandchildren and great- great grandmother of 2. May was the eldest daughter of the late Tim and Gertie Adams of Burketon. She was predeceased by her sisters Eva Cochrane and Mary Carter, and she is survived by her sisters Millie Dusureault of Oshawa, Viola Breck of Kingston, and her brother Albert Adams of Bowmanville. Relatives and friends will be received at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Wednesday from 7 �" 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate the life of May Cochrane will be held in the chapel on Thursday, March 20th at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Fraser Lacey officiating. Interment Hampton Union Cemetery in the Spring. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Alzheimer’s Society of Durham Region or to the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in Port Perry.
