Obituary of Maurice John Baker

MAURICE JOHN BAKER After a brief illness, on Friday, March 17, 2000 at Lakeridge Health Port Perry, at age 84. Maurice Baker, beloved husband of Evelyn (nee Millson). Loving father of Janice and her husband Vytas, Grant and Mary Jane, and Mary and her husband John. Dear grandfather of Paul, Ellen and her husband Jonathan, Glen, Brett, Michael and Sean. Cherished great grandfather of Dylan, Haley and Emma. Survived by his sister Helen Baker of Bowmanville and predeceased by his sisters Muriel Johnson, and Kathleen Smales, and his brother Tom Baker. Maurice was manager of Scotsdale Farm of Georgetown for many years, raising pure-bred cattle there, and later he pursued a successful career in Real Estate in Port Perry. A private family Funeral Service was held in the WAGG FUNERAL HOME "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (985-2171) on Monday, March 20th at 1 p.m. with Reverend Robert Le Page officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Port Perry United Church, or the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in Port Perry.
