Obituary of Ruby Emmeline Birkett

RUBY EMMELINE BIRKETT Peacefully, on Monday, January 3, 2005, at Hillsdale Manor Nursing Home in Oshawa, the day before her 88th birthday. Ruby (nee Manns), beloved wife of the late Norman Birkett of Raglan. Loved mother of Muriel and her husband Gary Tummonds of Oshawa, Murray Birkett and his wife Reta of Port Perry and Ivan Birkett of Oshawa. Loving grandmother of Karen, Larry, Judy, and Joanne and great grandmother of Brandon, Brent, Laura, Leanne, Danielle, Michelle and Travis. Survived by her sister Audrey Mahaffy and her brother Elwood Manns, and she was predeceased by her sister Marion Bell, her infant sister Velma and her brothers John, Richard, Stan and Tom Manns. The family of Ruby Birkett will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985 2171) on Tuesday, January 4th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, January 5th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Fred Jackson officiating.
