Dear Family, I was prevented by the weather from attending Bill's funeral but would not feel right if I didn't communicate my sorrow at his untimely death. In my contact s with Bill at the marina I always enjoyed his good humour and joy in this life. I especially liked his enthusiasm for teaching at my old High School. My son, Paul asked me to forward his sympathies, he remembers Bill as his employer when Bill was managing the Port Perry Marina many years ago! All of our sympathy on the loss of a fine man. I was shocked to see the news in the paper today. The memory of my time at Port Perry High School is not complete without thinking about Bill. He was truly an amazing man and a great teacher. He taught not only school curriculum, but valuable life lessons. He was always there to help and to give advice. He helped me to become the man I am today. It was great that you shared all of your memories and photos of Bill with us so we can celebrate his life. I wish Linda and all her friends and family my deepest condolences during this difficult time. Sincerely, Jamie Maunder

We are all so very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was shop teacher to both of our sons, Kevin & Andrew. He helped Kevin many times with his little outboard motor business several years ago, as a youngster. He was very helpful to any child who showed genuine interest. We admired him and visited often at the Marina. He will be missed by many. Jim & Monica

Lynda, Patti & Roger: We are very sorry to hear of your loss. Patti and I (Sharon) went to school together, and Bill knew my father, the late Ernie Rumford, but we have only had the pleasure to know Bill for the last couple years. We met him at the track and he was always willing to share experiences and stories, and to lend a hand if needed. He was a great person to have known and we will miss him greatly this upcoming race season. I know from listening to his many tales that he thought there was nothing Patti could not do in or out of a race car!! He was very proud of her accomplishments. Having been recently in your position with the passing of my dad in September, the only advice we can give is that family is very important in these times and a great support system. Stick close together and you can overcome your grief. Again, we are sorry for your loss. Jimmy & Sharon Feeney

Dear Kendry family, I was very sorry to hear about your loss. Bill was a wonderful man and I will miss him at Port Perry High School. He was always a gentleman to me and very helpful whenever I needed his assistance. I remember a time when he helped make up my friend's mind as to whether she should become a tech teacher. I sent her to Bill because I knew he would set her straight and tell her the truth about the job he did. He was always honest and straitforward. I liked him very much and will miss him. My deepest condolences to all of your family. You are in my thoughts at this time. Best Regards, Nancy Hamer Strahl

Dear Mrs Kendry and Family, My deepest sympathies to the passing of your dear husband, friend and father. When I read the announcement in the paper, I was moved to write to you a message of hope and comfort. The Bible provides many encouraging scriptures to help us cope with our loss. Since God is loving and just, he has made provision for us to see our dear loved one again. In fact when Jesus was on earth, he spoke of a resurrection hope. In John 5: 28, 29, we read of those doing good will have a resurrection to life. Imagine that! Jesus demonstrated how he will do this by the many miracles he preformed while on earth. One that is very encouraging is that of Jesus dear friend Lazarus. In John 10:34, Jesus gave way to tears over his dear friend. Then later in verse 43, he raises Lazarus to life again. Yes, he was dead for three whole days-sleeping as it were and Jesus brought him back to life. Here we get a clear picture of how caring Jeus is. Under His kingdom rule, the same will occur. Jesus will bring back to life all those who have passed away. What a remarkable time that will be. Another favourite scripture of mine is in Psalms 37:11. It say that the meek ones shall inherit the land and they shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. For how long? Later in verse 29 it speaks of the righteous ones residing forever on the earth. Yes right here on the earth. No matter which religion we practice, all of us succumb to the same eventuality. The Bible is very clear on the sure hope for the future. The main theme of the Bible is of God's Kingdom, bringing mankind back to the way he originally wanted us to live life-forever in a beautiful paradise earth. Your husband will be remembered by him, for Psalms 27: 18 says the "Jehovah is aware of the days of the faultless one. And their inheritance will continue even to time indefinite" For those that mourn, he also extends his hand to us. Psalms 55:22 says," Throw your burden upon Jehovah himself and he himself will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to totter. I hope the above words provide some hope and comfort during this difficult time. Once gain, I wish to extend my sympathies to all of you. Your Neighbour Nicole Wilkinson
