Obituary of Hilda Grace Beacock

HILDA GRACE BEACOCK (A historian, a people person, a Member of the United Church of Canada, an Honorary Member of United Church U.C.W., and years ago belonged to the Good Neighbours Club) Suddenly, on Sunday, March 6, 2005, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 90. Grace (nee Vickery), beloved wife of the late Leslie Beacock of Port Perry. Devoted mom of Donald and his wife Betty Lou of Seagrave, Grant of New Liskeard, and Bryan of Port Perry. Cherished gramma of Lee, Blair, Ryan, Philip and Craig and great grandmother of Christina. Dear sister of Mary Devitt of Oshawa and predeceased by her brother Angus Grant Vickery who died at the tender age of three years. In her younger years, Grace was actively involved in community events, her church and the Hospital Auxiliary, and she loved to entertain. The family of Grace Beacock will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985 2171) on Wednesday, March 9th from 3 �" 5 and 7 �" 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, March 10th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Olga McKellar officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Lung Association or the Prince Albert United Church Memorial Fund.
