Hiya folks! I've been thinking about your family today, and all the fun we had together growing up playing at your house. (IE movie nights, building snow forts, and choreographing dances to Steven Curtis Chapman songs in the living room, haha.) I still grieve the loss of your Dad and think of you all often. I hope that you are well! Love and prayers and a big grin to each of you! :D Thanks for the memories!

I only knew Gary for a short time when he first took over the duties he was called to, at Goodwood Baptist Church in 1984/85. Randy McCooey and I were attending the Baptist Leadership Education Center and were assigned to work with Gary for which we were greatly blessed. My own father died a couple of years after I had met Gary under the same circumstances, so I can empathise with Dawnna and her kids at this time. But it is at this time that we must look only to the Lord for guidance and direction in these circumstances, and not unto man for comfort, as the Lord gave us the great comforter, the Holy Spirit, who leads us, guides us and teaches us the truth of the word of the Lord where mans understanding fails us. The Lord is shaking the very foundations of man at this time, so we must all rely soley upon the rock of truth in Jesus and not in the institutions that were created by man under the counterfeit name of 'church'. His will be done and to Him all the glory and praise to edify His Bride in His truth, which sets all of us sinners free from man made captivity. Dawnna, I know at this time that understanding is required of all those who knew and loved Gary and in this situation, His truth will prevail as it is Him from whom all things happen and from where the living water of truth originates. Trust only upon Him and no other for He will never leave you nor forsake you. It is He that is carrying you and your family through this tribulation and it is to Him we must give thanks for our free gift of salvation. God Bless, Stephen R. I am deeply saddend by this news. Gary and his entire family were there for me when I was in need. Gary painted my home, helped get my family and I started. Mysterious food boxes would arrive to my home, toys for my children, a babysitter during my mothers hospitalization. Gary, James and my son Brent went together on "boys only" outings, always ending up with ice-cream and returning my son home with a gift for mom, because it "just happened to be on sale" as Gary would say. Gary also wittness my every so changing teen age years, from funky clothes and music, to boyfriends and broken hearts, my baptismal then growing up. I will miss Gary dropping in un-expectantly, catching me filthy dirty from gardening, and always when the house was in an uproar, and kids going everywhere, but he never minded. My son will miss the "boys outings" and is feeling grief for young James. He was a good inspiration for my son and all my children. May his spirit live on and never be forgotten. My door is open, just as you opened yours for us. With Love, Sandra Mayr

Lindsay and I cannot express enough to the family our deepest grief and sorrow . Gary will be greatly missed by us. He has been a true brother in the faith of Christ Jesus. We have so many, many good memories of our times together with Gary, Dawnna, Jenifer, Julia and James. Our Lord and God will be glorifed through this. That is what Gary lived for. That is what he pastored to us about. That is why we always sang "Standing on the Promises of God". We love you all. God bless you mightily with His strength, His grace and His love. You are in our prayers, Kathy & Lindsay Boyd
