Obituary of Reta Margaret Glasgow

RETA MARGARET GLASGOW Peacefully on Sunday, September 4th, 2005 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa, at age 78. Kindness and dignity was her trademark. Always fiercely independent, she maintained her enthusiasm for life and her sense of humour to the end. Reta (nee Robertson) of Port Perry, beloved wife of the late Lawrence Glasgow. Loving mother of Alan (Tracey) of Sarnia, and Dennis (Renate) of Toronto, and grandmother of Jennifer, Margaret, and Stephen Glasgow. Dear sister of Eva and her husband Grant Hunter of Port Perry, and the late MacAdam "Mac" Robertson of Havelock. Loving aunt of Beth Willes, John Hunter, Linda Hunter, Susan Hunter, Sonya Carter, Marie Johnston, and Marilyn Coughlin. She will also be missed by nieces and nephews in the United Kingdom, Spain and Australia, as well as her many dear friends at West Shore Village who made this past summer so wonderful. The family of Reta Glasgow will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985 2171) on Thursday, September 8th, 2005 from 2 �" 4 and 7 �" 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held at the Chapel on Friday, September 9th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Elaine Bidgood-Sveet officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to The Prince Albert United Church Memorial Fund, the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in Port Perry or the Save the Children Fund.
