MYRTLE LOUISE PRENTICE
Suddenly after a short illness, on Wednesday, October 5, 2005, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, at age 78. Myrtle (nee Collins), beloved wife of Gordon Prentice of Port Perry for 60 years. Loved mother of Nancy Prentice and her husband Doug Hughes of Haliburton, Richard Prentice and his wife Terry of Port Perry, Carl Prentice and his wife Jean of Acton, Ken Prentice and his wife Pat of View Lake, Ralph Prentice and his wife Wendy of Burks Falls, and Joanne and her husband Rick Trotter of Uxbridge. Myrtle will be sadly missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survived by her sisters Dorothy Morrell, Lillian Smith, Shirley Seally, and Donna Armstrong, and her brothers Wallace and Don Collins. The family of Myrtle Prentice will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985 2171) on Friday, October 7th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, October 8th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Elaine Bidgood-Sveet officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in Port Perry, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
