Obituary of Elizabeth Marion Johnston

Elizabeth Marion Johnston (nee Filshie) Marion died peacefully, on Saturday morning, October 22, 2005, at the North York General Hospital just before her 83rd birthday. She was predeceased by her loving husband Keith, her granddaughter Katherine, and her brothers Alex and Ian Filshie. She is survived by her children, Beth, Donald and his wife Claire, and Sandra and her husband Jean, and by her three wonderful grandchildren Elizabeth, Daniel and Emilie Cloutier. She will be fondly remembered for her curiosity, her interest in crafts, especially weaving, and her enjoyment of a good game of cards, scrabble or dominoes. We thank the staff at West Shore Village in Port Perry and the staff at Cummer Lodge in Toronto for caring for our Mom in her last years. The family of Marion Johnston will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Monday, October 24th from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 25th from 9:30 – 11 a.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. with Michelle Hofman officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Camp Trillium or to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
