Mac was always the first to make me feel welcome at any family function... he always asked me how I was & what was new. He always made me feel a part of the "bigger family' and I thank him for that. He was a good man & he will be missed by us all. My deepest sympathies.

Dear Joan and family, As your neighbour and local Councillor,I use this medium to express our sincere condolences on your loss of a dedicated loving husband, father and grandfather. We as a Township mourn the loss of a exemplary citizen, farmer and land steward. The Christie family is a Heritage name in this community associated with the importance of the Agricultural sector to our cultural and economic way of life. As I walk by the barn I will always carry the memory of Mac on his bike riding to the barn to do the milking chores,as well as, the friendly wave and greeting. He was a genuine human being of great integrity who will be missed but not forgotten. Sincerely, Larry & Ann Corrigan

Dear Joan , Lynne & Peter , Doug & Anne Marie, Margaret and I wish to express our condolences to you on the loss of dear Mac. Mac was a honourable man and between he and his brothers they maintained the strong and respected name of the Christie Family in the Manchester / Port Perry Area. The Christie's were early settlers in the area. Our great grandmothers were sisters. Their farm under the guidance of Mac and Fred and with input from Don and John was a show place for Holstien cattle and the crops they raised. Mac will be forever missed and remembered. We hope the memories of your loving husband, father and Grandpa will sustain you at this time. Our sympathy, Peter, Margaret Scarlett
