Myles was born in Toronto and raised in Aurora. He attended Humber College in Rexdale in 1980 and received his Funeral Director's License in 1982. He worked at the Marshall Funeral Home in Richmond Hill from1981 ~ 1988 and the Ward Funeral Home in Weston from 1988 ~ 1990. He bought the Wagg Funeral Home on August 1, 1990 and the Thorne Funeral Homes in Cannington and Sunderland in October 2015.. 

On August 25, 2001 Myles married Susan (nee Timms) and they have one son named Rory. They reside in Port Perry. 


Locally he is a member of the Rotary Club of Port Perry (serving as President in 1998 ~ 1999), Knights of Columbus, I.O.O.F. and the Scugog Men's Hockey League.

Professionally he is a member of the Ontario Funeral Service Association (serving as President 2009 ~ 2010), a member of the Funeral Service Association of Canada, a member of the International Order of the Golden Rule Funeral Directors Association and is a Past President of the Bay of Quinte Funeral Service Association (1995 ~ 1996).

Mark was raised in Oshawa and attended Humber College in Rexdale in 1992 and received his Funeral Director's License in 1994. He served his Apprenticeship at the McIntosh-Anderson Funeral Home in Oshawa in 1993 and then came to work at the Wagg Funeral Home in Port Perry in July, 1994.

Mark is married to Stephanie (a dental assistant at the Port Perry Dental Centre) and they have two daughters Emma and Myah. They reside in Port Perry

Locally he is President of the Prince Albert Pine Grove Cemetery Board, and a Past President of the Port Perry Hospital Foundation.


Mark is also a sales representative of Signature Memorials.

Mark was added to the Mayors Honor Role (2018) for his involvement in the Community.


Professionally he is a Past President (2001-2002) of the Bay of Quinte Funeral Service Association  and is a member of the Ontario Funeral Service Association.

Susan was raised in Toronto and graduated with a B.A. Honours degree from the University of Toronto. Following graduation, she worked in the banking industry for several years and travelled in Europe. In 1990, Susan graduated with a B.Ed. degree from the University of Toronto and began her teaching career in Parry Sound. Upon earning her M.Ed. degree from OISE (The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto), she moved back to Toronto to teach at the Bishop Strachan School.

Myles and Susan met in December 2000 and were married the following August. Susan moved to Port Perry and began teaching with the Durham District School Board. Their son, Rory, was born in 2002. When Rory started school full-time, Susan began working more at the funeral home, assisting Myles and the staff with visitations, funerals, receptions and administrative duties.

Susan is an active member of New Song Church and sings with the New Song Chancel Choir, as well as the worship teams on Sunday mornings. She is a supporter of many community events and enjoys the fellowship and outreach of the Rotary Club of Port Perry.

Jack Cracknell died on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at his home in Port Perry, at age 89. Jack Cracknell, dearly loved husband of the late Kay (nee Isherwood) for 60 years. Loved father of Les (Manon) of Toronto, Kevin (Micki) of Victoria Harbour, Lynn (Robert) of Raglan, Cheryl of Port Perry, and Nick (Lisa) of Amesbury, Massachusetts. Loved grandpa of 14, and great grandpa of 10. Jack is survived by his twin sister Elaine and her husband Reg Martin and he was predeceased by his sister Connie and her husband George Sparks.
