Dear Mrs Wielinga & Mr Wielinga & William. I heard that David died (April 30,2006) I was heart-broken. I broke into tears when I heard the news. I believe that he is looking down on you and Me and is thinking about all the fun things that I did with him. I will pray every night about him and I will always dream about him too. I will always think that he is looking down on us for my whole life and that he is praying for us in Heaven. I have all the love I want from him and the Lord. I know that wherever we are, David does not care because he will always be with me and so I ask for you to read the Bible and pray and pray about David because he died. Many thanks Benjamin.

Dear Henry Linda and William Since meeting you I have been in awe of each of you and especially of you as a family. I have been thinking about David a great deal, especially recently. I read the story of his friend, Josh and it clarified for me that one of David's special roles was to help each of us recognize the generosity in our heart, I am certain that David's departure from us was peaceful and definitely very loving and as part of the wider circle around you I have learned much from this. May God bless you all. With love Joy Levine

Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you say good-bye to such a wonderful boy. Our time on earth is so short and you will see David again and imagine how proud he will be to welcome you into heaven at that time. I can only pray that any of us would have your strength and faith if going through such a difficult time. Your family is an inspiration and David, in such a short time, left such a large impact on everyone he touched. God bless, The Stells

Many eyes filled with tears today as we opened our papers. Though I never met David personally, I as many people in his small town, followed him through the newspaper as well as word travelling through people that knew people... Please know that he touched the hearts of many and in 7 years made more of a difference than many of us will in 70.

Dear Henry, Linda and William, Our sincere condolences to all of you - you've been in our prayers often these last weeks as Norm and Val have kept us updated on David's condition. Our kids have been touched too, not knowing David well, but remembering him as such a vibrant boy when we met camping at Balsam, and hearing the stories from Tim, Nathan and Janelle. We're so grateful that the end was peaceful and as Norm referred to it, a "holy moment" where you truly felt God's presence in David's transition to his new LIFE in heaven. We just spoke to Norm tonight to ask about the service today, knowing that this has been quite a journey for them as well as they've walked alongside you. We pray for God's presence, peace and comfort to surround you in the days and weeks ahead as you adjust to family life without David close by. We know you have a loving community around you - may you draw strength from that too. Sincerely, Kevin and Jacquie, Brendan, Lauren, and Nicole DeRaaf Burlington

I had the honour of meeting David and his mother early last year during an emergency trip by ambulance to Sick Children's Hospital. David is, to me, the bravest person that I have met in my three years of working as a paramedic. I think it's once in a lifetime that someone comes along who truly touches your heart and although my time spent with David was brief, I will never forget him. Corinne Jansen
