I am truly sorry for your loss. I would like to offer you and your family my deepest condolences. I have had the pleasure of working with Bill for 11 years as a field supervisor for the security guards. I am thankful to be be part of his company. Funny story after being promoted I went into Bill's office to finally accept the position by Bill and Sean as I go to sit down on the chair I almost fell and Sean had to kinda catch me and Bill sat there with a look of shock. His response "are you okay"? I was so embarrassed, but yet it was hilarious. My thoughts thoughts and prayers are with the whole with what they are going through @ this difficult time. Sandy, what can I say? We are heartbroken for you, Cody and Ryan and all who loved Bill. Bill IS amazing. I say IS because I believe that he is still with you. This poem has brought me a lot of comfort over the years and I believe it with all my heart.
Death Is Nothing At All
By Henry Scott-Holland
Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Nothing has happened.
Everything remains exactly as it was.
I am I, and you are you,
and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is absolute and unbroken continuity.
What is this death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval,
somewhere very near,
just round the corner.
All is well.
Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!
Sandy, you and Bill included us like we were family and always made us feel so welcome in your home. Your hospitality is unmatched. We attended so many of your yearly Cancer Fundraisers and your Christmas Eve Parties. I remember you laughing because you said Bill was the one to go out and buy the gifts, and he would often forget that he had bought the same gift the previous year. LOL.
I have so many memories of just chit chatting over the fence and then you'd invite us over for a drink. I particularly remember one night 2 summers ago when Jace and I came over and introduced you and Bill to snapchat. OMG, we laughed so hard that night. I still have all the photos and videos of you and Bill that I will send you.
We feel blessed that we were able to talk to Bill before he passed. That is a gift that we will never forget. I am grateful to hear that Bill finally got to realize how much he touched so many peoples lives, and how loved he was. What a beautiful gift for Bill to know that.
We love you and Bill and always will.
Love Donna, Lance and Jace xoxoxo

My association with Bill was through my position at RBC and even with our limited and infrequent interactions I could see the "Gentle Giant" within.
I always looked forward to Bill's stories both business and family related.
The last time I saw Bill in person was October 2019 when my colleagues and I met him and Sean for lunch. Seeing his smiling face again here has caught my breath and brought tears to my eyes.
My sincere condolences to Sandy, their children, grandchildren, sister and extended family and of course Sean.

I worked for The Investigators group for approx 12 years and will say that working for my son, Sean, was the highlight of my working career. I can also say that working for Bill was real special. He was kind, sincere, patient and thoughtful with a great sense of humour. Teaching and giving encouragement was a natural gift for Bill, as all of the tributes submitted have shown. Bill had class and was certainly one of a kind.
We became good friends over the years and when I retired our friendship grew. John and I were included in many social gatherings where a good time was always had by all. We also spent time in Florida where new memories were made. When we last spoke on the phone, Bill mentioned all the good times we had. We will miss him very much. We love you Bill.
Our sincerest condolences to Sandy, Cody, Ryan and all the family. Our prayers are with you all at this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to Bill's family and friends, and to you Sean as well. He was definitely an asset to the Investigators Group, always a straight up guy with so much business sense. I was fortunate enough to work with him for a few years and always admired his diplomatic way of handling so many situations and was thankful for his insight, intelligence and people skills. I would like to share one memory, being a a bit of a joker myself at the office. I brought a fart machine in to the office and hide it in Bill's office. While he was interviewing people..I would periodically walk by his office and hit the button. Eventually Bill figuring out every time I went by his office, it was not his potential employee that was making that crude noise. I was so thankful that he could take a joke and made it easy to work there, along with teaching me that the workplace, although mainly serious needed a good laugh here and there. Thanks Bill. Rest in peace Bill. Debbra

He was nothing but kind and caring and respectful. Couldn't have asked for a better boss. My husband also worked 10yrs for Bill. He says Bill did a lot for him but as did my husband for Bill on the job. My husband and I are in great shock and Bill T will never be forgotten by either of us. We are grateful to have met Bill and worked for Bill. May Bill rest in Paradise and may all of us find peace knowing Bill is no longer suffering.

Adam and I had the pleasure of being included in many of the Thompson’s gatherings. Along with making sure our plates were full and our drinks were topped Bill always made sure he kept smiles on our faces by either doing something silly or cracking jokes. He was always a pleasure to be around and we always looked forward to time spent sitting at his bar or having good times in the backyard. We also got to enjoy a trip to the Dominican with Bill where we got to see his famous dance move “The Tsunami!” His tsunami only left a trail of smiles and laughter in its wake but like a real one will never be forgotten.
When Cody and I started our business, I can’t even count how many times we called him with questions or to ask advice. He always took time to help us even though he had his own business to take care of. That’s just the type of guy he was, always willing to lend an ear and help. I am grateful for all the advice and time he gave us over the years.
No matter the circumstance Bill was always willing to help out. One late night after a Cancer fundraising party at the Thompson’s, Bill came outside with his big flashlight so that Adam could see in the dark while setting up his tent. Unfortunately, Adam thought his sleeping bag was his tent and tried to feed the poles into it. Bill encouraged him to keep trying, and after we all had a good laugh brought Adam inside to sleep on a couch instead. Bill probably felt bad because he schooled us at a few games of flip cup that night.
There have been so many good memories with Bill over the years and we feel so lucky to have had him in our lives. There are no words to express how much we will miss him and how heartbroken we are for the Thompson family.
Our sincere condolences, Crystal and Adam
