I loved your Dad-he was a kind and gentle, gentleman. I often walk my dogs past the house, and he never failed to call Bailey and I over so he could give her a carrot. She also loved Roger and would watch for him everyday. We are all so saddened by his passing. I have been so sad at the devastation of this cruel disease, and the toll it took on both of your parents.

Roger and I met in 1959 while working for Collins Radio.
We soon became close friends and shared accommodations together for several years. We also enjoyed several vacations together including our first travel to Europe.
Several years later Roger became best man at my wedding and then newly married we both moved into new homes in Bridlewood, Scarborough.
Roger was a great friend and a true gentleman.

I was so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. I have so many wonderful memories of him from FifeShire. He would see Jamie and I hanging around outside and first thing he would do is move the big blue car so we could use the basketball net. He was always so friendly, so kind. He always wanted to know how school was and what we were learning in science in particular.
I am sorry that I won’t be able to attend on Monday but know that am thinking of your mom, Alison and yourself and sending the whole family nothing but warmest most positive thoughts.

Roger was a true gentleman on and off the tennis court.
It was my pleasure to have known him playing tennis and enjoying the conversations in the locker room.
It was a shame to see the onset of Parkinson’s cut short his pleasure of playing the game he loved.
My condolences to Rogers wife and family for their loss.

Our caring and compassionate neighbour for over 20 years, Roger was a fixture on our street and a warm, familiar face to our 3 children who grew up on Spring Blvd. He never minded our kids spilling over onto their lawn with their games and activities always had a smile for them. He will be missed by all of us on the street.

My deepest condolences to Roger's entire family. Roger and I have shared many wonderful times together on the tennis courts, where we competed, yet shared many many laughs. We had many good times together with all of the boys. I will miss Roger so much, and our entire group will feel the loss. Sending love and comfort at this time.

I first met Roger at Wycliffe College Residence, University of Toronto. Roger and I were both in first year Electrical Engineering. We soon became good friends. Wycliffe College was smaller than most at U of T, but they tried to do well in many sports. One night at dinner, the word went out that the college desperately needed players, experienced or not, for the water polo team. Roger and I were conscripted in spite of our protests. The result was that we came close to drowning in the Hart House pool!
Many kind words have been written about Roger. All I can say is that they are all true. Roger was a gentleman in the fullest sense of that word.
Our condolences to Roger’s family. The world could use more people like Roger.

Dorothea, it was a privilege to meet and talk with Roger when you came to the Vancouver area to visit Ted and Cara. He was instantly likeable and obviously kind and smart. We're sure that wherever he went, that place was improved by his presence. Our condolences go out to you and your family.
