Obituary of Constance Arabel Upton
Born on November 17, 1920, Connie (nee Brown) passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2023 in her 103rd year with her family beside her. Beloved mother of Peter Upton (Jo-Anne) and Lucy Sanford (Norm). Proud and loving grandmother of Jeff Upton (Christine), Chris Sanford (Charlotte), Alex Upton (Lynda), Elizabeth Pintilie (Stefan) and Jen Hobbs (Kevin). Adoring great grandmother of Owen, Ben, Brinley, Blake, Liana, Freya, Edmund, Briar, Kade and Jasper. Connie graduated from the University of Toronto in 1941 as an occupational therapist and worked with wounded soldiers during the war. She loved her family, her friends, her summers at the cottage, being part of the Don Heights Unitarian church, and playing bridge, at which she was a Master. She will be much missed.
The family of Connie Upton will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Saturday March 4th, 2023 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Durham, or Doctors Without Borders.
