We are thinking of you so fondly at Christmas and on your birthday, Dad. We all miss you so very much but take comfort in knowing and feeling you still in our hearts. Dan and Tara purchased ornaments featuring you for Christmas, and we listened to you read Twas the Night before Christmas on Christmas Eve. How fortuitous it was that just last year you gifted us with them. All of us treasure them.
Thinking of you, missing you, and remembering you vividly. Love you! Dawn & Tim

Dear Margo
So appreciated your warm welcome and embrace at Ken’s celebration of Life yesterday. My years of service on the Township awakened me to the character people like you and Ken who helped make this community what it is today with your generous gift of self. I was glad to hear you sing the praises of our Hospice home in Port Perry as light house of Compassion to you and your family. Going forward I share the gift of Celtic wisdom on grief. Those whom we have loved and lost are no longer where they were before but wherever we go. https://wordsfortheyear.com/

Drew and family, I’m very sorry for your loss. Ken was a wonderful man. In 1985 there was a beer strike in Ontario. We (Bell) had a hockey game between Progress Ave and Sunrise Ave and Ken, and I believe a young Drew, were refereeing our game. Ken had been in Montreal and purchased and delivered 2 cases of beer, one for each dressing room. A total class act!! I remember this even though it happened almost 40 years ago. A very classy man. Again, my condolences

Good night and good travels to my big brother. We (my wife Sharlene, children Eric and Stevie, and I) were privileged to have Kenny and his family in our lives. Given or age difference, Kenny was like a second father to me and provided experience, guidance, and opportunity to me (and my family) that helped to shape us and for that we are extremely grateful. He demonstrated what a good family man should be and his legacy are his children. We are so glad and thankful that we have a close relationship with the whole family. Kenny also provided a link, through memories and stories, to my parents. He, and the comfort he gave us, will be missed but he will always be with us. Our love and prayers go to Kenny and his new journey as well as to Margo, Dawn (and Tim), Danny - my plumbing guru - (and Tara), and Drew (and Lisa).

Margo and family - we are saddened by the loss of our friend Kenny. Having known him for 35 years, we miss our visits in Florida, dinners in Lindsay, and the golf scrambles in Canterbury Common ... even if I (Don) was often the butt of his jokes! Our thoughts are with you in your time of grief. Donald and Joyce Gill.

Dear Margo and Family, I am so very sorry to hear of your beloved Ken’s passing. I read the wonderful tribute that your family wrote, and it shows that the community was so blessed to have Ken and yourself living in its midst. I have such wonderful memories of working with you, Ken and the Simpson’s during The Dragon Flies dragon boat festivals, from being at the initial dinner with Joanne Dutka and teaching your team how to paddle sitting in chairs, to cheering your team on during the races. I truly believe that your team had more cheering for you than any other team! Ken was always there to support our organization in any way he could, and he was always one of the first to sign up for our golf tournament. We truly thank you both. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time. And as they say…..Paddles up Ken, take it away. Sincerely, Nancy Hanna and The Dragon Flies.

Margo and family,
We were so sorry to hear about Ken’s passing. Through all the years and all the Councillors I worked with at the Township of Scugog, Ken was my very favourite. We accomplished a lot of projects together at the Township amongst our chatting and joking around. He watched our girls grow up and they remember him with fondness. Ken was a great man. Please take comfort knowing that he loved you all so very much.
