What a privilege it has been to have known and worked with Ken. Both an intensely private man and an extraordinarily giving man, he brought his compassion, dedication and entrepreneurial spirit to bear on every project and concern to which he put his hand. Those of us who have worked closely with Ken are both glad to have had the honour to come alongside his passion and regret deeply the loss his passing will bring. To his family we share our deepest condolences.

My heart goes out to Ken's loved ones, and all those upon whom he had an impact in their lives. Ken was a wonderful man, a mentor, and had a calming, rational voice in every situation. As I sit here, looking at the chair he used to use when talking politics, environment, and his personal problems, I know that I, and countless others, will miss him. God Bless You, Ken.

Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers go out to all those who were fortunate enough to have Ken as part of their lives. He was a sweet, gentle, remarkable man who will be deeply missed by all. We definately feel that our lives were enriched for having known Ken. The kids hope that their Angel-Uncle Ken will rest peacefully in his new bed made of clouds. Ken was so thoughtful and we will cherish all the memories, stories and smiles that he blessed us with over the past few years.

My heart goes out to Ken's loved ones. Over the past few days I have discovered how much Ken meant to Scugog and its people. He cared about Scugog and Scugog cared about him. The measure of man can be witnessed by the void left behind. Judging by the comments I've heard, there's no doubt he was a great man -- I only wish I had known him better.

It is with deep sadness that I learned of Ken's death. He was a gentle, warm and caring man who always had kind words of appreciation and encouragement for me and Community Care. His tireless work in the community and at Regional Council to trumpet the needs and aspirations of the citizens of Scugog set a benchmark for other politicians. He will be truly missed. It was with great sadness that I learned of Ken's death. His dedication to his community was truly remarkable and his passion for a cause so admired. In my five years of covering Scugog Township, Ken never backed away from a tough question and was always quick to return a call. Like so many of us, I feel today, that I have lost a friend, not just a source. My heart goes out to his family, friends and colleagues. My first and last contact with Ken was by phone: the first in 2000 to seek his advice on my candidacy for municipal office; the last to share at personal level the medical challenges he faced. As a mentor, friend and colleague his presence and wisdom will be missed at the council table. He was a good and gentle man; and a dedicated public servant.
